the v. family

the v. family (so i am calling them)...where do i begin. how much they inspire me. the way they life their life. their perspective on things. their love for kids and others. everything. they are a great family.
they recently adopted a little boy from ethiopia, this being their second boy they adopted...the first adoption took place in haiti. they have a blog and i check up on it literally everyday to see if there is any new posts to closly follow along and fall in love with. reading each post from the beginning of their journey brings me to tears (and that doesn't happen often). every step they have been through is extraordinary. the prayers. the storms. the happy moments. the travels. the almosts. the pictures. the faith. the 'new' news. the emails. the love. the thoughts. the wonders. the letters. the tears. the joyful moments. the time spent to together. the dreams and goals. the perspective. the years, monthes, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds of paitiently waiting - i read it all! i am so inspired. a family who has been through ups and downs and waiting so paitently finally paid off to bring their newest addition to their family home right before christmas. their story let alone journey they have been through is breath taking. it is amazing.
they actually inspired me to make a blog. they shared their journey with friends and family, and also to keep track about the ups and downs themsleves of their journey...i wanted to share with my friends and family what inspires me. my blog came to life.
also reading through all of the joyful moments and how much stronger their family has gotten, i desided that i would love to adopt a little boy from somewhere in this world (particularly africa).  i have a little vision in my head that would make my life jump for joy. i would love it. that is where my heart is.

so thank you v family for inspiring me to be better than yesterday. to love more. to look at things with a better perspective. you guys are awesome.

love,
~amy

  1. my oldest told me about your post. now i'm gonna cry!!! :) you are sweet Amy. hold on to that vision of adopting. for me, it first started in my mind when i was a kid, at Bethel, listening to the African Children's Choir. that is literally where the seed of adoption took root in my mind. so, now get your butt over here and visit our little guy, seeing as you're so invested....also, keep seeking God's purpose for your life, and regardless of where that leads it will be the right place...you will be blessed and be a huge blessing to others with your willing heart.
    hugs,
    Mrs. V.
